Awarness of our Inner LIfe

Awarness of our Inner LIfe

Meditation is an ancient process that is part of the Yogic system it is, classed as a spiritual science that has been, practiced and developed all the world over.

It is a proven method that enriches one’s life through the practice of going within for, answers. Regular practice becomes a lifestyle as it is said to enhance our personal well-being on the mental, spiritual, and physical levels.

There are two distinct forms of mediation, they are

  • Passive such as guided meditations and by passive, I mean that someone else is providing you with instructions needed to change your state or levels of consciousness.
  • While an active mediation such as mindfulness or self-hypnosis means that you are consciously putting yourself into a different state of awareness.

Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying
attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally,”

says Jon Kabat-Zinn.

“And then I sometimes add, in the service of self-understanding and wisdom.

There is importance placed on bringing a nonjudgmental attitude to your practice because when we allow ourselves to begin down this path, we lose our objectivity thereby introducing an unbalanced emotional perspective to our practice.

With the practice of mindfulness our aim is to become consciously aware of the now moment and with judgement we allow ourselves to be pulled into the future which hasn’t happened yet or the past which has already past and cannot be undone.

Yes, this takes time, and the progress we make through consistent practice can lead to great things.

  • We are, able to be fully aware, present and appreciate the moment in any given situation.
  • Imaging speaking to your partner, kids, parents, or anyone else you truly care about and being able to actively listen and be interested in what they are doing or saying.
  • 8 mins of quality time with your kids everyday can be the difference between a confident resilient child and a more, timid shy one. When a child feels heard, they feel loved, protected, and know it is safe to express themselves no matter what. Now that’s worth it… RIGHT.
  • Regular practice doesn’t just make progress it offers inner peace and calm in the storms of life
  • We come to a point of respect and acknowledgement of our emotions, and a simple knowing of how each emotion affects us and how they are interconnected.
  • We are, able to release our grip so that understanding can take place
  • We begin to value silence and the art of doing nothing, of just being still, physical, mentally, and energetically
  • We learn to respond from a place of thoughtfulness instead of thoughtlessness (automatically)
  • We learn to leave the past in the past, taking only what is resourceful with us in the now.
  • We learn to calm out minds, focus in the now moments of the present and let tomorrow take care of itself.
  • above all we learn that there is beauty within, ourselves, our lives, our silence and our now reality.
