By definition, “mindfulness” refers to the informal process of bringing awareness to the present moment that can be, applied to any conscious situation. It’s an active state of awareness of what you’re doing in the moment.

Try this!

Bring your complete focus to a task you would usually do unconsciously.
Fully experience this usually mundane task such as washing dishes.
Become aware of small things such as the temperature of the water and the feel of it on your skin,
the texture of the cloth, brush handle or scourer in your hand or even the smell of the detergent. Actively engage all your senses and then notice if you are more relaxed when you are finish than when you started
